Plastic sleeves, bags and warning foils – products necessary for construction works and network installation

Every work related to construction, renovation and installation of gas, power or water supply networks requires proven solutions for segmentation and segregation of waste resulting from work. The best quality plastic sleeves and waste bags, commonly referred to as garbage bags, ensure the highest comfort of work.

Plastic sleeves and half-sleeves are primarily used to transport items of non-standard sizes. These products are used in many industries. They are effective in everyday use in the mechanical, logistics and food industries. The plastic half-sleeve is constructed in such a way that it allows the foil to be distributed in one layer. This is possible because the product is cut along the side edge. Thanks to this, the width of the foil is twice as large as the width of the sleeve. Those products are made of the best quality polyethylene. During renovation or construction works, the above properties make the protective half-sleeves perfect for handling items with non-standard sizes. In other cases, it is recommended to use special waste bags.

Bags for collecting and segregating waste

No construction, structural and installation works could be performed without bags for waste collection. The offered products come in various color and size variants. They will be great for municipalities, enterprises and construction companies, where the demand for garbage bags is naturally the highest.

Depending on the specific purpose, products in this category are divided into rolled bags, cut bags, with side overlaps, bags with tape, protective bags, sheets, bags with handles and with overprints. They can be in different colors. To facilitate waste segregation, it is recommended to use yellow bags for plastic and cans, blue for paper, green for glass, red for metal, and classic black bags for other unsorted waste.

Warning foils – basic marking of a network

During installation and construction works related to laying various types of networks, it is necessary to properly protect them. Even when executing a gas connection to a residential house, the use of a warning foil is required, which should be located underground a few centimeters above the running gas pipes.

Cable foils, i.e. marking foils for cable protection, are laid analogously to the above example over a route of the power network. Thanks to this, they inform every person, e.g. construction workers, about the route of the installation and protect against unwanted intervention. Cable foils come in different variants depending on the specifics of the intended purpose and individual technical parameters.

What to look for when choosing a warning and cable foil? Parameters

Marking foil and cable foil are universal solutions that are used to mark the route of pipelines, gas pipes, power cables or even telecommunication cables. Due to the low prices of cable foils, protecting even large tracts of networks is inexpensive. When choosing a product, always make sure it has a certificate – certified cable foils provide the greatest protection. Product dimensions vary depending on the offer and purpose of use. The size of protective cable foils for power networks is usually 0.08 mm x 20 cm x 50 m.

Marking foils differ in color – they are available in red and blue. Blue cable foil is used to mark power networks whose rated voltage is lower than 1 kV. Red cable foil is used for marking networks with higher than 1 kV rated voltage, i.e. the maximum voltage of electricity. The foils presented are used both when installing a system deep underground and at a standard depth level. If uncovered, they provide excellent visibility at night, thus avoiding the risk of unwanted interference in the wiring.

Location foils and warning foils

As a standard, the marking foils are divided into two superior types – warning (marking) foils and location (marking and location) foils. For domestic applications, e.g. to protect a gas network running to a connection point around and under a residential house, primarily the first type of product, i.e. warning foils, is used. However, location foils are also used when laying power installations and long distance water supply or telecommunication networks. They are placed underground above a given network of cables or pipelines. Together with marking and measuring posts (in the case of extra-urban areas) and locators they allow to read the current condition of the network and its location.
